I have been in Rome, Italy for March and April after 5 months in Tokyo. Check out my blog for culinary updates! I spent the Fall and winter doing programs, demos and tastings for my cookbook, "My Japanese Table."
The Recipe Box project for the Boston Globe, where readers send in beloved family recipes, has had a blueberry cake bake-off, a Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas gingerbread features. We are now collecting recipes for The Recipe Box Picnic.
And finally I am working on a bento project that just might turn into an iPad application.

Debra Samuels, cookbook author, food and travel writer and cooking teacher, has been working with children, families, and food in a variety of settings for over twenty-five years. Since 2000 she has been a food stylist and regular contributor to The Boston Globe and coauthor of The Korean Table, (Tuttle Publishing 2008). She is presently working on a new cookbook My Japanese Table: A Lifetime of Cooking with Friends and Family, also a Tuttle publication, due out in the Fall of 2011.
